It was a dark and stormy night. Actually it was a dreary rainy day. I’d hit up two festivals despite the crazy weather but needed a place to sit, write, and get a good bite to eat. After striking out at a bougie sandwich spot that was in between lunch and dinner, I realized a place I’d been meaning to try was right down the street. I was so happy they were open during that “in between” time in which lunch had past and dinner was just around the corner. Met some fellow Richmonders (fancy that!) and a lovely fellow named….
Privateer.
Root Beer Brisket with Sweet Tea Pickles, Arugula and Smoked Cheddar
Say what?!? It was absolutely delicious, inserting a ray of sunshine in an otherwise gloomy day.
Oh, Field Guide, you speak my love language: brisket. I shall return soon!
